Today, October 28, we celebrate the greatest and most significant band in the history of extreme metal music. 40 years ago, Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield got in touch via an advertisement in the magazine Recycler and the embryo for Metallica was created. We draw attention to this through a recording of the gloomy masterpiece "The Thing That Should Not Be", written by James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Lars Ulrich, from the 1986 album Master of Puppets. Thanks to James, Lars, Dave, Kirk, Cliff, Jason and Rob for all the inspiration!
