Thorsten Gubatz's video: Gerardo Gandini 1936-2013 : Variations for orchestra 1962

This is a recording I am very happy to present. Let me sing the praise not only of Argentinian sound magician Gerardo Gandini, but also of his compatriot, conductor Luis Gorelik, born in La Plata in 1963. Some years ago, on his YT channel I discovered his interpretation of Alberto Ginastera's "Panambí" with an orchestra unbeknownst to me, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Entre Ríos from Paraná ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNatOH9eYwg ). Now this recording of Gandini's "Variations" was my second experience with the artistry of Gorelik; once more he was conducting an orchestra of which I had never heard before, and once more I was stunned and delighted by an extraordinarily delicate and differentiating orchestral sound, an orgy of instrumental timbres.
