The wise are not confused by this process. 2.16 nāsato vidyate bhāvo nābhāvo vidyate sataḥ | ubhayor api dṛṣṭo ’antas tvanayos tattvadarśibhiḥ || 2.16 That which isn't, cannot exist; that which is, cannot be non-existent. Those who see the essence know the limits of both. 2.30 dehī nityam avadhyo ’yaṃ dehe sarvasya bhārata | tasmāt sarvāṇi bhūtāni na tvaṃ śocitum arhasi || 2.30 Constant and invincible is that which possess the body, even though it dwells in it. Therefore, you should not mourn over creatures, descendant of Bharata. 2.55 prajahāti yadā kāmān sarvān pārtha manogatān | ātmanyevātmanā tuṣṭaḥ sthitaprajñas tadocyate || 2.55 The Blessed said: Son of Pritha, those who rejected all desires that invaded one's mind, and whose mind finds satisfaction in itself – they possess steady wisdom. 2.56 duḥkheṣvanudvignamanāḥ sukheṣu vigataspṛhaḥ | vītarāgabhayakrodhaḥ sthitadhīr munir ucyate || 2.56 Those whose mind is not agitated by fear from suffering and does not long for desires; those who are free from passion, fear and anger – those are called steady-minded sages. 2.58 yadā saṃharate cāyaṃ kūrmo 'ṅgānīva sarvaśaḥ | indriyāṇīndriyārthebhyas tasya prajñā pratiṣṭhitā || 2.58 Like a turtle which draws in all of her limbs under the shell, sages draw in all their senses, separating them from external objects. In this way, their knowledge becomes stable. 2.65 prasāde sarvaduḥkhānāṃ hānir asyopajāyate | prasannacetaso hyāśu buddhiḥ paryavatiṣṭhate || 2.65 In tranquility, all the suffering ceases.
