We all know that Tate was a psychopath; he killed 15 teenagers, burned his moms boyfriend, killed 2 people and raped Vivien. But I can see remorse in his eyes when he thinks about all that stuff. Through the time, we see how he changes and gets "tired of hurting people". At one point, his biggest wish was to be loved by Violet for eternity. The haunted house made him see, how lonely and sad he was. When he saw Violet for the first time, he fell in love. Though he never thought of killing her, to have her by his side forever. He only wanted somebody. Violet saw through him. When she suicided, Tate didnt show nothing but sadness. Even if it meant that they would stay together forever; Tate wanted the best for Violet.
