@My Weight Loss Journey Transformation From 185lbs to 124lbs In 5 Months (before and after pictures)
If you want to lose weight fast, you'll need to eat less and exercise more. For example, if you take in about 1,200 calories each day, and exercise for an hour per day, you can lose around 3 to 5 pounds in a week, or more if you're over 230lbs. It's EXTREMELY important not to cut calories below 1,200. Below 1,200 calories is not safe. Cut out starches, added sugars, and animal fat from meat and dairy foods. Eat more fruits, vegetables, soy products, egg whites, fish , skinless poultry breasts, shellfish, nonfat dairy products, and lean meat. Here are more tips: Eat vegetables to help you feel full. Drink a lot of water. Drink Green tea. Spicy food will speed up your metabolism. Get junk foods out of the house. Add a protein meal replacement. Try to eat from a plate and seating down. Don't skip any meals. Keep track of your food with a journal or an app such as "Lose it!" Don't eat anything pass 7pm. Exercising for Fast Weight Loss Move around more! Losing weight requires close to an hour a day of exercise. Plan to do cardio and strength/muscle training. Cardio is a good way to burn the most calories, so it is ideal for fast weight loss, but afterward you need to include a few hours a week of strength/muscle training. To burn the most fat, try to keep sweating for the whole hour. I know it sounds hard but it will become easy. A personal trainer told me one way to increase the intensity is to do interval training. This is a short surge of high intensity, followed by a more easy going pace, and repeating that pattern throughout the workout for 30 minutes. Interval training allows you to work harder without spending the a lot of time at the gym. Over time, the more you do it, the easier it becomes to burn more calories. Fads and Crash Diets It is very alluring to go on a "diet", especially if you want to lose a lot of weight. If a diet plan sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I believe there is no longterm solution to a diet plan, its all about lifestyle changes. Pass any programs or plans that encourages fasting, detoxification pills, and/or laxatives. Also, cutting calories below 1,200 per day is counterproductive, because you need to be strong to be able to exercise effectively. When you cut down your calories below 1,200, you do lose fat BUT also you will lose muscles, which slows down your metabolism, making it vey difficult to lose weight and keep it off. Commit to your weight loss goals. Use a journal or a tracking app. This will help you to do it the right way for longterm success.
