In the beginning of my digital marketing career I studied direct response copywriting. It was a great skill to have because I could turn in-person, face-to-face selling into a 24/7 selling machine. One of the copywriting frameworks I learned also was a useful tool for growing my business. That framework is AIDA: Attention, Interest, Desire and Action. I evaluated my business activities based on what area of AIDA was appropriate. Do I need an audience? Focus on Attention. Are they deciding to enter my funnel? Groom their Interest.
