I have recently taken up the sport of mountain biking to maintain and improve my motorcycle track day rider fitness inbetween track days. This video shows how to improve and maintain motorcycle rider fitness. Mountain biking has many benefits that can improve rider skill such as: 1) Maintaining correct vision - looking far ahead; 2) Cardio and leg strength; 3) Getting used to the bike moving underneath you; 4) Speed perception. This means that when you return to the track, you don't waste time re-learning these skills, you can focus on other skills you can't practice such as corner entry and body positioning. This is how to maintain and improve rider fitness. My next video will be: Back to Barbagello Raceway, for the first time in two years!
