Tim's video: Triumph Street Triple S - Short Rider First Ride Review 2020

This is a short rider first ride review of the Triumph Street Triple S. The Triumph Street Triple has a seat height of 810mm. I sat on one in the dealership and the bike felt very high and uncomfortable. Instead I decided to hire the Triumph Street Triple, which was already run in. This example has done 4,500km and rather than being rigid, when I sat on the bike, it sags about 15mm, a good amount. This makes getting my feet on the ground a lot easier. I am 160cm tall, with a 30 inch inseam and weigh 56kgs. Seating centrally on the seat, I can get half of both feet on the ground, which is very comforting, without the need to shave the seat or lower the suspension. The narrower, inline triple engine allows for a narrower fuel tank and hence my legs and knees are in a more neutral position, along with the upright riding position makes for an excellent long distance ride. Overall, a good quality bike, a good all rounder for a short rider. However if you intend to do regular track days, you may want to try out a supersport bike.
