In this video, I try out my new 2018 Giant Fathom 29er 1 Hardtail mountain bike. I purchased this bike, because it was well equipped and was on sale. It comes as standard with tubeless tyres, dropper seat post, and full Shimano SLX drive train. I have taken up mountain biking in an effort to retain my motorcycle riding fitness whilst not being able to do track days as frequently, due to local track closures. I hope mountain biking will maintain my leg strength, body positioning, vision tracking and reaction times during winter.
