Tim's video: Ebay Chinese Giantz Thule Four Bicycle Carrier - Tow Ball Mount - Nissan Xtrail

@Ebay/Chinese/Giantz/Thule Four Bicycle Carrier - Tow Ball Mount - Nissan Xtrail
Ebay/Chinese/Giantz/Thule Four Bicycle Carrier - Tow Ball Mount - Nissan Xtrail I have recently taken up the sport of Mountain Biking to maintain my motorcycle rider fitness whilst not being able to get to the local race tracks during the winter. I purchased a 2018 Giant Fathom 29er 1. Having purchased the bike, I also needed a bike carrier for my T30/T31 Nissan Xtrail. The Thule brand was $800 for a similar carrier, but I purchased one from Ebay, made in china, under the brand of Giantz. This carries 4 bikes, up to a combined total weight of 60kgs. The center section is fully assembled and is made from welded steel. The wheel carriers need assembly and are made from alloy sections. The bicycle carrier slides on to a 50mm tow ball, then has a huge bolt, to clamp down on top and prevent any movement. Overall the quality is really good, for $239, delivered. The only draw backs are: 1) the carrier needs to be widened for large mountain bikes. 2) the brake light connector is a european style that doesn't fit my tow bar. 3) the central support section is too low, so the arms don't clamp easily on to modern mountain bike frames. 4) due to tight fit, the carrier is hard to push on to the tow ball. However, these are minor things. The carrier was very secure and strong when traveling on off-road gravel sections.
