160 acres and a wonderful old farmhouse. Now what? I am told this house was built around the original homesteaders cabin. Their name was Southcott. I plan to do more research on this soon. I have been told this family was one of the first to settle here and start farming in SW Colorado. We bought this wonderful little farm for our daughter when she turns 18. That is a year and a half from now. My husband works 6 days a week in the Oilfield and we live on another 280 acre wheat farm 3 miles away where we have Chickens, Pigs, Ducks, Geese, and a lot of dogs! Sometimes we have Goats and Turkeys... So we will be busy busy cleaning up and remodeling only after our regular work and farm chores are done. I have very little experience doing the actual work needed on a project like this and we will not be financing any of the costs. I watch YouTube videos though and I have SUPERVISED many remodel projects in the past.(😊🤣🙃😁😀) My husband calls it nagging but I call it supervising! I hope I can do this! ACTUALLY IM SCARED TO DEATH!!!
