It is the end of March in 2019 and while exploring Germany by rail, I have come across the town of Ingolstadt, about 30-40 minutes south of Nuremberg. Trains to/from Munich stop here to allow passengers to change for other connecting services, including the town of Augsberg. From a railway perspective, there is also a busy hump yard here where trains are sorted and wagons sent across Europe.
