Welcome along! Today we take a look at some of the trams in the Ballarat Tram Museum fleet, in particular newly restored Geelong Tram , built in 1912 by Duncan and Fraser of Adelaide and railed in KCD condition to the Melbourne Electric Supply Co. (MESCo) depot in Geelong, and returned to operational status by its owner, Mr Warrington Cameron, a week before scenes in this video were recorded. We also see two other trams in operation on this occasion, these being Ballarat trams 28 and 33. Tram is painted in Electric Supply Co. of Victoria livery, as it was in 1930 when it arrived in Ballarat after having worked in Melbourne since 1915, initially for the Hawthorn and Municipal Tramways Trust as their , later becoming the Melbourne & Metropolitan Tramways Board as M113. Tram was new in 1917 for the Footscray Tramways Trust, but delivered to the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board who had taken over the Trust where it became M189. This tram served in Ballarat from 1930 until closure of the system in 1971, along with . It is planned to bring viewers more scenes of the Ballarat Tramway Museum in the coming months as significant events for the society take place at Lake Wendouree.
