Toby G's video: USA Vlog 2 - Las Vegas San Francisco Alcatraz Muir Woods Sausalito

@USA Vlog #2 - Las Vegas, San Francisco, Alcatraz, Muir Woods & Sausalito
Me and Celina went to the USA for 3 weeks and I recorded a holiday vlog to capture our experience! Day 4 to 6 was Las Vegas, San Francisco, Al Catraz, Muir Woods and Sausalito! For the rest of day 4, we mainly just strolled through Las Vegas and had a look at all the crazy constructions they have along the strip. For one, we went to the Eiffel Tower - well, the one in Vegas! They rebuilt the Eiffel Tower in 1/3 of the scale of the original and you can actually go up to the top to get an amazing view of Las Vegas. Just as we were at the top, the fountains in front of the Bellagio fired up and we were granted a unique view of the intricate mechanics of the hundreds of little fountains that make up the musical display! The next day we flew out to San Francisco. On the way we discovered that Las Vegas airports are just as crazy as the town itself - there's gambling and vending machines for electronic gadgets right in the airport! In San Francisco we went pretty much straight to the hotel, had one quick walk around the hilly streets and turned in. The following day, day 6, was packed with tours! First, we went to Alcatraz Island. The famous prison island in the San Francisco bay is open to tourists and has been converted into a historic monument. We had a few hours to roam around the island and discover all the old buildings, lots of information on its history and beautiful sights of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline. We also joined the 45 minute audio tour that takes you through the cell blocks and illustrates with audio recordings of former inmates and employees exactly what it was like living on 'the rock'. The tour leads through the cells, the dining area, the courtyard, library and the control rooms and outlines the lives and events of some of the most notorious criminals and their escape attempts in Alcatraz. After Alcatraz we took another bus tour across the Golden Gate Bridge to Muir Woods. Muir Woods contains a large amount of humongous Sequoia red wood trees. These red woods grow up to 100m tall and can get up to 2000 years old! It was quite humbling walking through the forest amongst these resting giants. On the way back to the city we first stopped in Sausalito, a quiet little town at the northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge. We enjoyed some calming views of the bay and had some handmade ice cream. I had banana caramel - it was delicious! The last stop for the day was a small outlook point just past Battery Spencer and we got to see (most of) the Golden Gate Bridge during the golden light of the sunset. It was an amazing view and I wish we could have stayed longer before the bus took us back to the hotel. I have more vlogs to upload from our time in all the other amazing places from our 3 week USA trip - so stay tuned and make sure to subscribe :) You can follow me here: http://www.facebook.com/surfacedstudio http://www.twitter.com/surfacedstudio http://www.surfacedstudio.com http://www.instagram.com/surfacedstudio Copyright © 2013 SurfacedStudio
