Toll Free Traveller's video: Attempted to ride to Cho Oyu Basecamp Failed Tibet Ride - Ep 6

After an eventful night spent at Everest Base Camp in Rongbuk, Tibet, it was time for us to move on towards the next destination on our Royal Enfield ride to Tibet on Himalayans. A few people were affected by Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) and descending to a lower altitude was key. We made our way towards the next base camp on the trip agenda - Cho Oyu Base Camp. However, we were stopped by the police and the army and turned away on the excuse that there were some training exercises underway. This is one of the issues with travel to Tibet - nothing is ever for certain. That disappointment aside, this was a wonderful day on the road as we got to ride on some gravel trails and let the Himalayan rip a bit.
