The Hole Of Horcum & Skelton Tower - The North Yorkshire Moors - During this autumn walk, Tom and Joe get to encounter some of the North Yorkshire Moors most spectacular sights of which are Skelton Tower and the Hole of Horcum, located near levisham. Local Legend has it that the Hole of Horcum was created when Wade the giant scooped it up from the ground to throw at his wife during and argument, However from a more scientific perspective, the hole was created by a process known as spring sapping. This occurs when groundwater outflow undermines the rocks and slopes and then contributes to the development of the valley's. The Hole of Horcum is 400ft / 120m deep and spreads across about 1.2km. After witnessing some breathtaking views of the Hole of Horcum Tom and Joe take some photos on there new blackview phones before moving on to Skelton Tower, Which on there way they passed a group of beautiful Highland cow's. Skelton Tower offers an amazing set of views of the North Yorkshire Moors railway and Goathland Moor, arguably they held greatest view of the day. Tom and Joe saw this as an opportunity to test out their drone and got some scenic footage rotating around the tower. Afterwards they pass woodlands and a nearby stream before heading directly through the centre of the hole and past the old abandoned farm house and arrive home just in time for tea.
