Tom Tom Magazine's video: BRIC House Cafe Interview with Mindy Abovitz

Intended Air Date: July 2, 2013. Live from BRIC House Cafe interviews founder/editor-in-chief of Tom Tom Magazine, Mindy Abovitz. During the interview, Mindy tells us what's going on in local Brooklyn music this week, bands we should check out, and who she herself is going to be seeing. Mindy is BRIC's local music expert and drops by fill us in on the local music scene over a friendly coffee in the BRIC House Cafe, located just outside BRIC House TV Studios. This segment is a pilot for a recurring music segment we hope to get picked up for a new live daily show produced by Brooklyn Independent, the media division of BRIC Arts Media Bklyn, a non-profit organization devoted to art, music, and media in Brooklyn. In addition to recurring interviews with Mindy, Brooklyn Independent also hopes to develop Tom Tom TV into its own show on Brooklyn Public Network. Tom Tom TV is a great resource for new exclusive music videos, interviews, instructional videos and performances. Part of the pitch for this pilot is to make use of our new BRIC House Café as a great informal spot to host interviews with our subject matter experts who can drop in, have a coffee, and catch us up on what's going on in Brooklyn that week pertaining to their subject of expertise, whether it be music, film, transportation, eco-sustainability, politics, food, anything you can think of pertaining to Brooklyn!
