Tom Weksler's video: An exercise of thought and sense

@An exercise of thought and sense
Let's play an exercise of thought and sense. What if the human form and idea was nothing more than a continuous process of integration? Existence justified of 3 simple processes or acts: Taking in information, interpreting the information and pushing out the information back to the world. Through scientific tools, we understand better and better how taking information into ourselves is working. The function of the senses, their limitations, the type of information they are capable of perceiving and how this process runs through our bodies. Of course, this process is running regardless of our understanding, it can be understood better for refinement or improvement but it will happen inevitably. Better understanding possibly means better awareness though. The integration is a bit different. What makes me run throughout life remembering vividly a specific trip from my childhood? What makes me keep an immense joy from cheesecakes and cherries? Why some are scared of swimming pools and others are turned-on by surprise parties? Why some are in awe of the shapes of leaves and others feel disgusted when watching an open wound. Experience is never generic and I suppose, it is because something internal in the human form, circles and mixes the information of the senses. But where does it exactly happen? My scientific knowledge on this topic is ending here. But maybe I can make a speculation based on my experience. What is the documented process that can help us understand this integration? Maybe integration is not an act as much as it is a state. The state of lingering in between: 'What do I see?' and 'What do I want to call it?'. And here comes the awareness, can I suspend this state? And what's pushing out? Calling things in names in our heads, speaking, moving, writing, painting, singing and uploading posts on the internet... all that is a verb! What's the conclusion of the exercise? Nothing. I don't think that the human form is any single idea and neither a single process. But seeing my own skeleton dancing made me wonder about my own taking, integrating and giving. It made me question if this process of perceiving, integrating and expressing can even be articulated into parts and if it even contributes anything to see it in that way. Emanuel Kant wrote: "In knowledge Imagination serves the understanding wheres in art, understanding serves the imagination" (Sense and non-sense, 1948) And my habitual response to myself after all of this illuminating flow of thoughts: It is what it is!
