Escribí esto hoy, sintiendo una gran división entre nosotros, siendo tan iguales. En momentos como estos es cuando más creo en la importancia de el amor. Ese amor que todos necesitamos pero no todos conocemos. Aprenderemos. Cuando pasamos meses sin mirar al cielo de lo grande y de lo eterno nos perdemos. Cuando dejamos de mirarnos a los ojos se nos hace imposible comprendernos. Cuando el espejo nos enseña los defectos y tratamos de arreglarnos, nos dañamos. Cuando la carga pesa sobre nuestra espalda bajo nuestras creaciones nos caemos. Algún día, ojalá no muy lejano, nos tomaremos de las manos y nos amaremos. Aprenderemos. Cuando el miedo rige nuestras decisiones se nos nublan las opciones, nos cegamos. Cuando este juego de avaricia y de dinero se desborda en el deseo, nos vendemos. Cuando el odio se hace parte del discurso olvidamos que ante Dios somos iguales. Cuando sea suficiente el sufrimiento solo entonces, vida mía, cambiaremos. Algún día, ojalá no muy lejano, nos tomaremos de las manos y nos amaremos. Aprenderemos. When we stop looking at each other's eyes it becomes impossible to have empathy for each other. When the mirror starts showing us defects and we try to fix them, we actually hurt ourselves. We shall learn how to do just that. When our decisions are controlled by fear our sight gets blurry, we don't see our options. When the game of money and greed gets overflown by our needs, we sell ourselves. When hate becomes part of our speeches we forget that, to God, we are all made equal When the suffering becomes too big to bear, only then, my dear, we will change. Some day, I hope not too long from now, we will hold each other's hands and love each other. We shall learn how to do just that.
