Tonya Bush's video: Crochet Capelet Pattern Tutorial Perfect for Beginners

@Crochet Capelet Pattern Tutorial Perfect for Beginners!
A crochet capelet pattern tutorial for an easy, beginner-friendly crochet cape that works up quickly in self-striping yarn! This crochet capelet is made in one piece, side to side, with simple stitches. Single, half-double and double crochet stitches all worked in the back loop only with creates lovely ribbed texture for a relaxed and easy fit! Very easy to customize for size, too! If you would like to have a longer cape, simply add foundation chains for additional double crochet stitches. In order to make larger, simply add rows! The button is purely decorative and simply sewn at the neck. However, you could certainly add a loop if you wanted to have a functional button. Made with Lion Brand Mandala acrylic 3 weight yarn but any of your favorite light weight yarn could be substituted. This piece would be an excellent project for a beginner looking to create a functional and stylish accessory, or for any crochet enthusiast who appreciates the effortless beauty of self-striping yarns and simple yet effective stitch patterns. This is a cape you could dress up or down very easily. This cape in a solid white would look absolutely beautiful for a bride's winter wedding - just add a fancy pearl or jeweled button instead! Pair with denim for a more casual and relaxed addition to your outfit.
