Topsafe's video: Joe

Film by Samuel Eugene "I'm a 21 years old and from Akron Ohio, currently living in Chinatown, NYC. I've been working on a documentary about my uncle Craig for about a year now, where I explore the aftermath of drug abuse in the land of Springfield, Ohio. I have interviewed a lot of Craig's friends in the area, one of which caught my attention - a man named Joe. Joe turned out to be super interested and also loved to talk on camera if I gave him weed. I decided to make a film about Joe because I'm very interested in the unseen, and showing the raw, uncut version of reality. Most of what I see today is imagery of beautiful people and art that reflects privileged youth. I like to capture what modern society might think of as unattractive. There are many different worlds out there, and I urge my viewers to see the beauty in everything."
