If passed, this bill would make it illegal for you or I to take photos, video, or expose the suffering of farmed animals. Animal agriculture, already, almost entirely hides what is happening to animals from public view and this law will push their suffering even further into the darkness. Ag-gag laws such as this, in the U.S., have been stuck down as unconstitutional. The meat and dairy industries are being hit hard by the number of people moving away from food that comes from violence and this is their attempt to hide the truth from the public even further in order to stop financial loss. They know that you would stop supporting this massive, powerful, violent industry that causes devastating suffering to animals, the climate, and to your health if you saw what goes on behind those windowless sheds in the country and in slaughterhouses.
