To introduce this musical tribute, the author and performer, Noel Santos, shares some words with us: "Last year, speaking on a march for the rights of all animals, I said: "There is no compassion in exploitation. There is no humane way to kill someone. I have been, eye to eye, with thousands of enslaved and exploited animals on farms, or in trucks outside slaughterhouses. All eyes told me the same: I don't want to die..." When news of the death of Regan, our dear and brilliant activist, came to me, these words echoed in my head and a strong and overwhelming thought came to me: every single one of us, Animal Save Movement activists, can be one more victim of all the brutal madness that controls this desensitised and heartless world. There are billions of victims, who every year succumb to this oppressive system. Regan was one more. I felt the need to pay tribute to her as I have done to so many other anonymous victims of the lack of compassion that reigned. This song is for all the victims.
