Tesla's new presented info has even satisfied Giga Berlin's critics. Tesla Giga Berlin held an info event where they discussed water consumption, logistics concept, the battery factory, and much more. Having received information on some questions, the critics were satisfied. More than 500 people joined the event. Many visitors came from Berlin or East Brandenburg, such as Herbert Hermann from Rüdersdorf. "I want to find out about charging options because my family is considering buying a Tesla," says Hermann. Corinna Huge, on the other hand, came from Berlin. "This is a good example of how large construction projects can be advanced quickly without neglecting crucial issues," said Huge, whose son is already doing an internship at Tesla. She thinks: "You can transfer that to other projects." Steffen Schorcht from Erkner might see things differently. He is involved in a Tesla-critical citizens' initiative. For him, the industrial settlement in the water protection area is a danger to nature and, above all, to the local groundwater. Nevertheless, he also saw positive things: "It is gratifying that Tesla, according to its own statement, is aiming for a closed water cycle." The water saved could then be used, among other things, for a new school building in Hoppegarten. Several construction projects, such as the Hoppegarten school, are currently on the brink because water is becoming scarce in the region as a whole. As is so often the case, the Tesla employees at the event declined official interview requests.
