So, some weeks ago, APINK finally made a comeback with "Dumhdurum" which is A BOP!! I love the main hook cuz it's so catchy and the elegance of the song is really beautiful! Also, I love the different melodies of the song! I'm so glad that despite being out for this long, APINK managed to sweep the charts and get so many wins!! I'm so proud of them! Anyway, I really couldn't pass on doing a mash-up with "Dumhdurum". At first, I wasn't sure what songs to do a mash-up with, but an idea with the "EH OH EH OH" part from 'Remember Me' and the "EH OH" from 'ON' came up to my mind and that's how the mash-up started. Later on, I thought of adding GFRIEND's 'Ave Maria' because I really felt that the song had similar vibes to 'Dumhdurum'. My only problem was that they have quite a gap between their keys, but I decided to use the song anyway. So, I hope you don't mind this pitch change. While making the mashup, I was really struggling with how to place the songs and ended up doing things over and over again. Also, I felt like Dua Lipa's 'New Rules' could fit well 'Dumhdurum' especially because their keys and bpms are so close. So, that's why you can hear it in the majority of the mashup. But, I really hope the final result will please you! Also, for the lyrics, I was trying to go for the girl who wants the boy to go away, but the boy is not giving up and tries to get her again. I hope it makes some sense and that the lyrics do match. As for the video, I'll be honest and say that I was not that much inspired... All the MVs didn't have much in common (especially 'ON' with its medieval theme), but I did find that all groups have some train scenes (which is the main set for 'Dumhdurum'). So, I tried to play around with this theme, but I still kept the MV simple cuz I was not that inspired and motivated (especially since my laptop didn't stop crashing my software... T^T). Anyway, I hope that despite the simpleness of the MV, you will enjoy the mashup!
