ToysTrainsThings's video: Tomy Tomica Plarail Amtrak Train

Heres my newest pick up from ebay. My son actually spotted this amongst a bulk lot listing when I was browsing eBay US. The seller was kind enough to seperate the items as the lot did not sell. I paid around $30AUD for this train, including postage, in a lot with 3 other Transforming Tomy Trains. I'm not a train buff but as far as I know it's based on a F-unit Diesel. I can find much on google either except a photo of this train with matching carriages being refered to Tomy AMTRAK train. There is another silver Tomy AMTRAK train with various videos on youtube running around the tracks but I am yet to see this model. Overall the train is in pretty good condition with a few small marks on the nose and body. It uses the 2 speed motor from the Tomy/Tomica Bullet trains. This is the first train we have that uses the 2 speed gearbox and it is probably the smoothest of all the trains we have. It has a nice sound to it without the usual noisy gears of the other variations of gearbox/motors. I have another couple of cargo/container carriages that I will add to this to make a better looking set. Also I am planning to try to make a couple of matching passenger carriages fom spares I have as I doubt I will find the originals. If they turn out alright I will post a quick video of them. I am pleased to have this in our collection and it's already had more than it's fair share of play. Hope you enjoy!
