On a Bitcoin standard, I would expect people to both borrow and lend BTC, in addition to earning and spending it. Unlike fiat, Bitcoin is not a melting ice-cube and will already keep up with inflation, so that can lessen the pressure on people to attempt to earn yield on their BTC. Not investment advice!
