In this video I travel from Hamburg to Berlin abord FlixTrain number FLX35 on the 9th November 2021 As said in the title, the train ticket was £4.49 (€4.99 / $4.99). This does not allow you to reserve a seat, thats an extra £2 (£3 for table seat). Overall with seat reservations and aditional luggage (yes thats extra too) it's still alot cheaper than DeutschBahn. DB IC and ICE is quicker, but more expensive.
