In this video we will see the proposed private trains of Bangalore cluster, but before that a brief on the private train initiative by Railways. , The Private Train plans of the Indian Railways have moved one step further with the Ministry of Railways inviting Qualification (RFQ) proposals from interested parties. The RFQ have been invited for 151 private train services over 109 route pairs of the Indian Railways network as of now. These train services will be split among 12 clusters. Trains for these private train services are to be capable for a maximum speed of 160 kph and each rake is to consist of minimum 16 coaches. All these trains would be Premium trains with Air-Conditioned coaches. The running time taken by a train shall be comparable to or faster than the fastest train of Indian Railways operating in the respective route. The private operator shall be responsible for financing, procuring, operation and maintenance of the trains. These private train services are likely to start in 2023. In the interim period the Railways are making the infrastructure ready for train operations at 160km maximum speed. There are three clusters in the south zone, Secundarabad, Bengaluru and Chennai. Let us see what the Bangalore based cluster would get and the details of the trains. 5 pairs of trains are allocated to Bangalore cluster, the least among all the clusters. Out of this 2 pairs are daily trains between Bangalore to New Delhi and Bangalore to Howrah and One daily pair train between Mysore and Bhuvaneshwar. One bi-weekly new destination Ranchi is part of this list. Bangalore to Guwahati woud be a thrice weekly service. Both the Bangalore New Delhi , Bangalore Howrah services would take 33 hours. Mysore Bhuvaneshwar woud take 27 Hours. The Service to Ranchi would take 34 hours and the Service to Guwhati would be Via Dharmavaram and would take 58 Hours, the second longest train among all cluster. The Longest duration train among all the clusters is the Kochuveli- Guwhati Service taking 63 Hours.
