This winter at Point Reyes, northern elephant seals settled on Drakes Beach - moms, month-old pups, and males (the big guys). It's something to see a large male elephant seal up close, open his mouth, and “trumpet” ! (We put music to this clip, as our recorded clicking sounds of "trumpeting" weren't audible, and there were visitors and national park volunteers talking.)
