Summer was at its peak and the whole Pacific coast line was filled with families, friends, beach volleyball players and shirtless people showing off what they worked on, for the entire year. Andrew was in LA for a body building internship. Before my loud mouth would have started asking questions, Andrew immediately saw my face and replied " no not all body builders are buffed". This was the time, when I had just begun to take my crossfit classes seriously. The more I asked him questions, the deeper he took me into the discussions of mindset, discipline and building bodies. Andrew was my first and only guest who carried his lunch with him. I didn't want to question him but again before I could, he said " I'm being disciplined, I flew all the day from Australia for this internship, so I carry my own lunch". And this actually became my take away from our meeting. If I needed to change my mindset and work towards the body I wanted, I had to be disciplined everyday. And this would be true for everything in life for any goal we have. No matter what, just show up and work!! We walked together and finally upon reaching muscle beach at Venice, Andrew smiled and called Californians crazy. Awesome hippe crazy but crazy!!
