TreeSisters's video: Martiza Centeno and Eva

This month we spoke with Maritza Centeno from the Matagalpa community in Nicaragua. She is a Nicaraguan indigenous leader who has been invited to speak at the UN. She is also a spiritual leader and the founder of a coffee co-operative that includes 23 indigenous women owner-workers. Their homeland is currently being deforested by miners in search of gold. We invite you to come and hear what she has to share. From her inspirational work for indigenous rights, to growing a co-op that empowers women to their efforts to the save the land.
