Trevor Nygaard's video: 74 dollar tacos St John USVI The Friendly Pirates ep 37 part 2 of 2

Part 2 of the St John circumnavigation. First we set off to Maho Bay and check out the historic Annaberg sugar plantation, where I pay tribute to the rum gods and learn a bit more about the history of St John, which was originally a Dutch Colony, purchased by the United States in 1917. In 1733 the slaves on the plantation revolted against the owners, but was unfortunately thwarted up until 1848, where a second massive uprising heralded the end of slavery and the economic collapse of the sugar plantations. After one of the best days sailing in quite some time, we find ourselves on the east side of the island in Coral Bay, which is the only place you are allowed to anchor on the island because it does not sit in the national park that makes up the bulk of the island. The hurricane damage from the 2017 season was still very obvious, almost as it it happened last week. Recommended by friends was a new hip and cool floating taco bar that is only accessible by boat, called “Lime Out” which is an off-chute of the owners main restaurant “Lime In” I highly recommend you bring your life savings, as a 2 bite taco ran me 12 dollars, a beer for another 12 dollars and you had to put down a 50 dollar deposit to even order one. Reason: Lime Out boasts its Eco-friendly foundation which is fantastic, but there are no cups so this is to prevent guests from running off with their fancy metal ones.
