Still plugging away at the south coast of Puerto Rico, but starting to make some noticeable progress east. Its a daily struggle against the prevailing trade winds, and the strategy of "leave early, get in early" is absolutely the way to go in these parts. It is simply too stressful on the boat and difficult to be out on the south coast during the day, so early morning legs is a way to make this region possible to navigate without much of an issue. In this episode we visit 2 different locations on the south coast, Salinas and Puerto Patilla. I had high hopes for Salinas as a cool place to chill out and continue to work on projects, but all I really found was a few restaurants and a boat store with a few filters for sale, nothing that would help me with the chores stacking up on the Pearl. It was time to pick up anchor and make more progress east after a few weeks in this location.
