I heard about an island off the south coast of Puerto Rico that is full of pirate tales and lore dating back to the 1600's. Clearly this was a spot that could not be missed, so in this episode we set course for Caja de muertos, which translates to "Coffin Island" It is an island about 6 miles off the south coast of Puerto Rico and is a nature reserve because of its native turtle population. A small island, only about two miles long by half a mile wide, with the bulk of it overgrown with giant cacti. An adventure wouldn't be a good one without some sort of challenges to overcome, and once again we find ourselves with a little bit of a diesel engine issue. Luckily I had some help from the locals at the marina, and we were back up and running in a few days.
