Nearly-nude pop artist Lana Love stuns SXSW festival attendees by strolling around Austin in just a BODY PAINT outfit and thong. South by Southwest (SXSW) festival-goers in Austin, TX did a double-take when they saw pop artist Lana Love walking down the street in body paint. * Pop Artist Lana Love teamed up with body painter Trina Merry for bodypaint pranks at SXSW in which it looked like she was wearing a pink and turquoise vintage cowgirl fit * Aside from her nude thong and nipple covers Lana walked around the streets of Austin in only bodypaint and performed topless.  * As part of the social experiment, she was filmed walking through the crowd on the streets of South Congrees * Unsurprisingly, she received plenty of stares, pictures requests, and cheers from people sitting on a riverside lawn at sunset. “Lana didn't know what to pack for SXSW.  I told her to just bring a thong and I would take care of the rest. You can’t get more custom than this.” said world-renowned bodypainter Trina Merry. “People were shocked, but in a good way!” Merry, currently living in Dallas, TX, wanted to prank people at SXSW to see if they were paying attention.  “It’s been a hard two years and everyone could use more laughs”, said Merry. Merry spent 3 hours painting on a western vintage-inspired bubble gum pop pink fit with turquoise trim, bedazzled with rhinestones on Love. Wearing only a thong, nipple coverings, and bodypaint, Love walked around the streets of Austin to see if anyone would notice.  "At first I thought 'everybody’s staring at me', but then I realized many people didn't even notice. How delicious to be the Twinkie of the moment." They created this optical illusion bodypaint prank to cheer people up during the pandemic at this legendary tech-meets-art festival. They turned heads as attendees did double takes, smiled, and even cheered. Love serenaded and danced with attendees. “It was an all-eyes-on-me moment”, said Love, “It was so liberating”. Merry and Love walked up south Congress finishing at the bridge with bats flying overhead at sunset, overlooking the Austin City Skyline and Texas capital building.  About the Collaboration: Merry and Love met doing off-Broadway musical “Malinche” by Hans Zimmer & Nacho Cano (documentary out of Netflix).  They became fast friends & Merry painted Love and 11 other models for her performance at the Getty Villa.
