On our trip to the United States, we took a trip to the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. We were fortunate to have been able to film 3 of the Railroad's stalkwart K37's, 481, 485, and our engine, No483, which was actually the first K37 to work on the silverton branch when the track was upgraded to 80lb rail during the 1980s. An unexpected sight was also to see one of the Railroad's Diesel Locomotives, No2 'big al' on an empty ballast train, before 435's morning train. We were also given a shed tour, the photos of which we expect to be on Facebook shortly.
