Took a brief but awesome trip to Oregon to see my siblings college graduation. On June 13th, 2022, I managed to bag Southbound Cascades 503 with Charger 1408 pushing the Talgo set. P42’a and 164 led Northbound Coast Starlight 14 at Tangent, OR, and we caught up with them again further North at Gervais, OR. I wanted to replicate the final America By Rail shot from the second West Coast volume and I nailed it!! (Minus the Pepsi can Dash 8’s leading!) The final shot is of an eastbound Union Pacific manifest passing Multnomah Falls. Someday I’ll come back. I couldn’t get over how beautiful this region was and how interesting the railroading was as well.
