@Saab Alarm Siren Rebuild, Battery Replacement (Fix Random Alarms) - Trionic Seven
Full guide for rebuilding the Saab 9-3 and Saab 9-5 Alarm Siren with battery replacement. This is the fix for the "Service Theft Alarm" or "Theft Protection Failure" warnings, and also stops random alarms from occurring. This is part 2, check out part 1 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLYQ8VvEZlg Part 3 is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ0L_IGPEOw Parts needed: Two Sanyo CR17335 Lithium Batteries. Do not use CR17335SE batteries, they will not work. I purchased batteries from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/322468835797 CR123A batteries can also work, but you will need to attach the solder tabs. You need three electrolytic capacitors: C1: 16 V, 10µF C2: 10 V, 220µF C4: 25 V, 330µF While higher voltages work, make sure the capacitors don't become too big. You need everything to fit in the siren housing. You also need conformal coating. I used PRF 202 spray, but there are many options.
