Yosemite National Park is an American national park located in the western Sierra Nevada of Central California. The park is managed by the National Park Service and covers an area of 748,436 acres (1,169 sq mi; 3,029 km2).On average, about 4 million people visit Yosemite each year, and most spend the majority of their time in the 7 square miles (18 km2) of Yosemite Valley. Giant Sequoias - We took our first hike at Giant Sequoias, a 3 mile like called Grizzly Giant Loop Trail. Located near the South Entrance of Yosemite, the Mariposa Grove is the largest grove in the park and is home to over 500 mature giant sequoias. During much of the year, a free shuttle is required for use between the Mariposa Grove Welcome Plaza and the Mariposa Grove. Start along the Mariposa Grove Trail at the Big Trees Loop and hike past notable trees such as the Bachelor and Three Graces, the Grizzly Giant, and California Tunnel Tree. Next, we headed to the famous Yosemite Valley. Yosemite Valley is a glacial valley in Yosemite National Park. The valley is about 7.5 miles long and approximately 3000–3500 feet deep, surrounded by high granite summits such as Half Dome and El Capitan, and densely forested with pines. While driving through the valley, you won't miss this beautiful chapel in Red color. The Yosemite Valley Chapel was built in the Yosemite Valley of California in 1879. Yosemite Falls is the highest waterfall in Yosemite National Park, dropping a total of 2,425 feet from the top of the upper fall to the base of the lower fall. Don't forget to carry your Raincoats. El Capitan, also known as El Cap, is a vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park, located on the north side of Yosemite Valley, near its western end. The granite monolith is about 3,000 feet from base to summit along its tallest face, and is a popular objective for rock climbers. Bridalveil Fall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley in California. The waterfall is 188 metres in height and flows year round.
