Chode’s grampa Benito and his cronies have escaped from the Fun City rest home because, they say, the staff is stealing their brain waves. Chode chalks the crazy charges up to senility, chastizes the nurses for letting the geriatrics escape in the first place, and gets them readmitted. Then he checks out the 7 ½ Flags amusement park that’s right next door to the rest home. While the geezers are back in the Fun City power room getting the life sucked out of them, Chode is enjoying the Madness Ride at the amusement park. But when he’s suddenly spilled out into a Private Room, he meets the Orifice, a foreboding black alien who offers him blue and red pills. Chode takes the pills, downs them with a swallow and finds himself in an alternate universe called the Ratmix. There he learns that the old folks’ energy is being stolen to power up the amusement park. It’s a scheme that stinks of Darph Bobo, a penny-pinching villain who’s trying to save enough money to buy his own death orb. While Gus and T’Nuk sneak back into Fun City to break out Benito and his friends, the others work madly to shut down the Ratmix and the treacherous brains behind the deadly scheme.
