The Tribulation period is a 7-year period known as Daniel's Seventieth Week, This period is the transition between the "Fallen Age", the period of time we are now in. This period began when Adam and Eve listened to Satan and rejected God's command in the Garden of Eden. They turned over their authority to Satan. The world under their authority fell, and Satan became the "ruler of this world" according to Jesus. (John 14:30). Satan to this day has access to the Throne of God, (Job Chapter 1). He is the accuser of the faithful, in the Middle of the Tribulation Satan looses his access to the Throne of God to accuse. He is cast to the earth and his time is short. (Revelation 12, Daniel 12:1). It is at this time the arch angel Michael stands for the nation of Israel in the middle of the Tribulation period. On the earth, the Antichrist (The Beast) and his kingdom under the authority and power of Satan wages war on Israel and the followers of Christ to prevent the 2nd Coming. Jesus promised Israel He would not return until the nation acknowledges Him as Messiah (Christ). (Mat 23:39)  For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’” Satan's goal is to prevent this, he attempts to wipe out the nation, but God intervenes, the Mount of Olives is split open and people flee the event known as the Abomination of Desolation (Matthew 24:15). This all corresponds within the events of Revelation Chapters 11, 12 and 13. It is during this period of time God reveals His will to the world through His Two Witnesses, who are Elijah and Moses in the last days. They are killed after 3.5 years of ministry in the First Half of the Tribulation, the whole world celebrates their death (Revelation 11). Scripture here also reveals the technology of Satellite and Internet 2000 years before it happens. The world watches the dead bodies of these two men in Jerusalem and give gifts tow one another . How can people all over the world watch two dead bodies in Jerusalem at the same time? Only today do we have that technology, it was revealed in the Bible thousands of years ago.
