This fort has great importance, because Lord Hanumanji ji was born on this fort. Hanumanji's childhood also passed on this fort. The name of this fort was named Anjaneri in the name of Hanumanji's mother Anjani. Anjaneri fort is located very close to Lord Shiva's Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga. And Hanuman is considered to be rudravtar of Lord Shiva. The temple dedicated to Hanumanji's mother Anjani is situated on this fort. Hanumanji's temple is also located here. Every Tuesday and Saturday, people come in large quantities here. During Hanuman Jayanti, more than one lakh people come to the temple.
