I have a question. Is the Rapture Imminent? I mean, could the Rapture happen at any time? Does anything else need to happen before the Rapture occurs OR are we just outta here at any moment? Now, Some will say, I don’t care when the Rapture is, as long as there is one. I see the point there. However, if one believes that the Rapture is imminent and begins to witness Tribulation type events, could that shake that persons faith? Could that cause one to believe that God has abandoned them or that they’ve been left behind? If one is aware of the events that precede the Rapture then the shock of preceding events would impact them differently because that person is expecting it because the Word of God said that it would happen before the Rapture. The danger here is also relevant. A lukewarm believer or a non believer that are aware of preceding events may delay delay delay, until they see the preceding events then decided to give their lives to Christ. So, do we not discuss this at all? Or make folks aware of it, then we watch and see. For those of us that really love the Lord, we’re going to live every day as if the Rapture is imminent and could happen at any moment. Whether we find that it is or not. This is because we love the Lord and we know that our very next breath isn’t promised to us anyway. It is in Him that we live and move and have our being. So let’s look at this word imminent as see what this is all about. Merriam Webster defines “imminent” as ready to take place : happening soon Dictionary.com says likely to occur at any moment; impending: The Cambridge dictionary says coming or likely to happen very soon Now, this isn’t about a Rapture date. This is about the Rapture being indeed, imminent. Close at hand. And when you see these particular events that precede it, we can be assured that the time is at hand. When we look at Daniel 7, we see 3 times within the same chapter the same clue, in sequence that points to the events preceding the revealing of the AntiChrist. A new world government rises up with 10 world leaders described as kings and also horns. These precede the AntiChrist. This is the sequence. And this points to the Rapture. Look at these verses. And remember the pattern. Perhaps as we look into preceding events as it relates to imminency, we can see a possible explanation as to why the Rapture happens. Which in turn defines the preceding events. We know that he, the AntiChrist, confirms the covenant with many of Daniel 9:27 but we believed that he just showed up on the scene relative to the peace plan. Well he does but something happens before he’s revealed. Somebody said the Rapture. Well yes but something else precedes that. Daniel chapter 7 shares what happens just before the AntiChrist is revealed. It is confirmed again in Revelation chapter 13. And those two together confirm Revelation 12 where we see the Rapture. And remember the pattern. Just believe and receive by faith. Jesus Christ died on the Cross for our sins and iniquities. He was buried and resurrected on the 3rd day just like scripture says. Romans 10:9-10 9   That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10   For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. You can be saved. Come as you are right now. Titus 3:3-7 3  For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5  Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6  Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7  That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
