U Droid Mania's video: New Construction Home Tour E04

In today's episode of From the Ground Up we walk through our new build. This is week number 7. The windows are in and front and backyard doors have been installed. At this point, we are now 1 week away from our 4-way inspection. A pass means that we are able to move to the next stage where the trades can begin insulate the walls and hang drywall. This was a very exciting part of the process because we could finally see what our home would look like with actual walls. The things to note during this stage of the process, (keep in mind, I'm no builder) are that the wood has been treated at this point and bolted down to the concrete slab foundation. Electric rough-ins have been placed, and plumbing and HVAC rough-ins have also been completed. The builder had their own inspections that they complete from a quality perspective, the city has their inspections, and during this time, if you are planning to have a pre-drywall inspection done, your realtor would coordinate and schedule that with your builder. So a lot is going on and it all moves very fast. We definitely learned a lot through the process, so if you'd like for me to share more, just let me know.
