U Droid Mania's video: Samsung Galaxy s9 vs Pixel 2xl Speed Test

Hey what's up everyone? Today I have a quick speed test between the Samsung Galaxy S9+ and the Pixel 2xl using my most frequently used Apps. These are the apps that matter most to me on a daily basis, so that's why I chose them. I know at the end of this, it may not mean much, but it's still fun to watch. Enin here from U Droid Mania, and you're watching my Galaxy S9+ vs. the Pixel 2xl Speed Test. Now, let's do this! Oh, and the Pixel 2XL won the boot up in case you missed it in the opening sequence. I do have 15 apps in no particular order, so we start with Facebook. I chose 15 to limit the chances of a tie. With this one, to my eyes, it looks like the Galaxy s9+ won this one, but slow things down and have a closer look. When we slow things down, it's the Pixel that fully loads the Book first, so that's one for the Pixel. Next, we have the Gram. This was another one too close to call, so let's have another look. Again, the Pixel 2XL has loaded this one first. Not to bad for last year's phone. Next, we have google+. This one goes to the Pixel 2XL. I expected as much! Ok. 4 apps in, let's take a look at Netflix. At first glance I'm going with the Pixel, but.. let's look closer to be sure. The pixel renders the logo faster, but it's actually the Galaxy S9+ that loads all the images first. Next we have OneNote. Right away, I feel like my taps are off, so lets look in slow motion. Here, you can clearly see that I tapped the Galaxy s9+ first, so this one will not count. Hopefully we don’t have a tie. Let's try Zedge. Again, these are apps I use daily. Looks like the pixel took this one as well. What do you think? Check out the replay. The Pixel 2xl just barely squeaks by. Right now the Pixel 2XL is up 4 to 1. Next, we have YT Studio app. Clearly the Pixel takes this one. Ok, so let's try twitter. Again, the Pixel 2XL. Well how about Spotify? Oh…..it's the Galaxy s9+ trying to make a comeback. Next we have our first game. Marvel's Future Fight. We're 10 apps in, so I expect that 6GBs of Ram to help out the s9+. It's the Pixel to load the first graphic and…to be the first ready to play. Interesting, right? Let's try the photos app next. It's looks like this Galaxy s9+ was first, but let's take a closer look. Yup, it's the Galaxy s9+! Wow! How about messages? The Galaxy s9+ is first! Next, I have the camera apps. This one is too close to call, so I gotta slow things down. I don't know on this one. Looks like the Pixel 2xl to me. I'm on Amazon daily too. Looks like this s9+ here. Yup the ads load first on the s9+. And..lastly, we have YouTube. Wow! It's the Galaxy s9+ again. So to sum things up that's 8 for the Pixel 2XL and 6 for the Galaxy 9+. What a way to make a comeback. This just goes to show that newer phones may not always be faster. But I will say that the Galaxy S9+ handles memory management better. For example, if my game is not loaded first into memory on my Pixel 2XL, it reloads every time when switching apps. Out of these two phones though, I'm still going what the Pixel 2 XL because in real life use, it just feels faster. Ok, so there you have it.
