Mark and Stephanie Robinson want to amplify UC Berkeley’s capacity to cultivate business endeavors that advance basic science research and fast track the creation and deployment of critical biomedical technologies. The Robinsons’ recent $4.5 million commitment — an addition that brings their philanthropy serving bioentrepreneurship at Berkeley to a total of $9.5 million — will help enterprising undergraduates build skills that will make them equally comfortable in the lab and the boardroom.
