March 10, 2018 To commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of the East L.A. walkouts, the CSRC presented two days of programming. On Saturday, March 10, a speakers’ program featured walkout participants and scholars, and concluded with a tour of an exhibition at the CSRC Library featuring related materials from archival collections. On Sunday, March 11, the 1996 documentary "Taking Back the Schools" and the 2006 HBO film "Walkout!" were screened.
