GeneMAP (Genetic Medicine for African Populations) is a consortium of 3 projects that stands to foster and enhance the advancement of Genetic and precision medicine, with a focus on under-studied African populations, through the design of research programs that contribute to the generation of genomic knowledge within specific disease areas. GeneMAP was launched on 7 June 2018 at the University of Cape Town, under the directorship of Professor Ambroise Wonkam.
