Thanks to generous support received from the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the Centre for Film and Media Studies (CFMS) and UCT Television Studio successfully hosted another round of the Stepping Stone Short-documentary Training Programme / African Filmmaking Fellowship (AFF) in 2018. The programme ran over seven weeks from 29th October to 14th December. The course is a seven-week programme designed to arm participants with the skills and knowledge required to produce short documentary films in a bid to share that knowledge with others. They received facilitated input from industry professionals and practitioners on camerawork, editing, sound recording, producing, directing and interviewing skills. Simultaneously, participants applied the learning as they were given various tasks which increased in complexity, and scope. Working in groups, participants produced five short documentary films as the outcome of their training. Learn more about Stepping Stone here: http://www.tvstudio.uct.ac.za/steppin...
